Chinese Community Urged To Support The Government

KOTA KINABALU: Chinese Community must support the Government with sincerity and never conceal their gratitude, urged the President of Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI), Datuk Michael Lui.

He said the community must adhere to the spiritual culture of reciprocating the gratitude with meaningful deeds.

“It is about time for our community to change our mindset and thinking, we must be consistent in our words and action,” he said during the closing ceremony of the 2014 Chinese New Year Carnival held at Lintasan Deasoka, last night.

Michael also stated that the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) has always supports the Government with full sincerity and maintain their steady stance.

Adding to it, he said the organization will continue to act as the bridge for the Chinese business community as well as the cultural bodies to convey the voices of the community to the Government.

“We will cooperate with both State and Federal Government in the promotion of ongoing social welfare and economic programs for the people in Sabah towards realizing a more prosperous Sabah,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Minister of the Chief Minister’s Department, Datuk Ir. Edward Yong Oui Fah in his speech said that the State Government has always been supportive to Kota Kinabalu City Hall by providing grants to organize cultural events such as the 2014 Chinese New Year Carnivals.

Therefore, the people of Sabah should be grateful that everyone can lives in peace and harmony despite religious differences.-/PENERANGAN
