KOTA KINABALU : There is a good demand for complementary treatment in Sabah, according to Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Haji Masidi Manjun.
He said a lot of tourists, especially from China, are seeking for complementary treatment in Sabah like foot massage and acupuncture.
“But the problem is that we don’t have enough trained people.”
He said the demand for such treatment is on the rise judging from many applications received to recruit foreign workers to give such treatments.
He said complementary medicine have been practiced for a long time in Asian countries like Indonesia and China.
“It has been a tradition but due to unqualified people in this traditional treatment, many of the genuine practitioners are affected,” he said before officiating Wong’s TCM Treatment Centre at Plaza Grand Millenium Jalan Lintas here today.
He urged Mr.Wong Wai Ming, who is a fully trained Chinese Physician and Acupuncturist, to open training centres to train more young people in this field.
“That will be the greatest legacy that people like Wong can leave for Sabah,” the Minister said.
Wong’s TCM Treatment Centre offers tradional treatment for Erectile Dysfunction, Uterus problems, Head and shoulder problems, foot and body treatment and others.-/PENERANGAN
