Malaysian High Commissioner Designate to Brunei Darussalam paid a courtesy call on Head of State

KOTA KINABALU: Two High Commissioners paid a courtesy call on the Head of State Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar  Bin Datuk Haji Mahiruddin and wife at State Palace yesterday.

Malaysian High Commissioner Designate to Brunei Darussalam, Datuk Awang Sahak Hj Awang Salleh and wife and Malaysian High Commissioner Designate to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, Jilid Kuminding and wife had a brief audience with Haji Juhar and wife.

Speaking to the press after the audience, Datuk Awang said the bi-lateral realtions between Malaysia and Brunei have been excellent and hope it would continue in terms of business, politics, investment, tourism, education and others.

While, Jilid Kuminding said the discovery of new natural resources such as oil and gas has opened a new chapter and hoped that he could help spur more investments in Papua New Guinea. He said Malaysia is the second largest invester there and Malaysians have been doing business for more than 20 years with that country.

Later, the head of the police investigating team for the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah, Supt   Mohd Azman Mohd Sapri also paid a courtesy call on Juhar Mahiruddin to express his thanks for giving full cooperation for the  conduct of the inquiry in the state. He was accompanied by 12 of his team members. /– PENERANGAN
